Katie Vogelsang

Principe’s design was inspired by the original architecture of the building and reimagined by Katie Vogelsang (Studio Vogelsang). Principe is built across two floors of meticulously designed space featuring a central floating stair, soaring ceilings with wood trusses and skylights, Venetian glass chandeliers, and an open style kitchen and raw bar. The guests’ experience is defined using a design language of materiality, color, and details ranging from venetian plaster, marble, high gloss lacquer, mother of pearl accents, silk curtains, velvet furniture, and lush greenery. In the tradition of NYC restaurants these different elements and influences come together to create a unique backdrop that is both refined and lively.
